Unfortunately I have been unable to carry out my workshop as some participants have had covid. I hope to carry out the workshop in the next two weeks once everyone has been given the all clear. Until that happens I have continued to practice and make small demos to show the group on the day of the workshop. Everything has been prepped and is ready to go.
I have been making some more of the demonstration pieces with my sister and she has really enjoyed the experience so far. She has mostly liked the sensory aspect of the artwork and picking the flowers and plants from the garden.
Emma chose to work with ferns for her steam dyed piece. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get a picture of the fabric once it came out of the pot as we got quite carried away and jumped right onto the next step which is sewing.
The outcome of these in my opinion is something out of this world. I love the scent you get from each touch both from the fabric and the scented material inside.
I am extremely exited about hosting my first ever workshop and I am happy that I have managed to link it to my practice . Even though I have only managed to collaborate with my sister I am still happy with my outcome so far and look forward to hosting my workshop very soon!
